Most Slate reporting is pulled on demand, re-pulled inconsistently, and interpreted differently by whichever person happens to be building the query that week. The discipline shown here is the opposite instinct: decide the canonical questions, build the canonical queries, and publish them as dashboards leadership can read without reconstructing.
